Awhile ago possibly three months ago Capcom/Nintendo released the café art! My discord had never been busier with people going through the colours (Did they just confirm heterochromia in Phoenix’s eyes?) and what of Edgeworth’s pecs?! (I’ve never received so many messages about a man’s chest before)

Seeing as my ADHD decided to make me fixate the only way a writer can, I make OCs, right now I’m up to 6! So I know, I’m an acquired taste, it’s easier to look at someone doing a character there’s already art for but I have made friends in the community and I just hope there isn’t a group chat where they all secretly joke about me! Anyway, one day on Instagram a lot of these people cosplayed the café art. It was spectacular but I was kind of sad because I had previously put on Instagram how much I wanted to be apart of more collabs. BUT WHY WAIT TO BE INVITED!?

OH BOY YALL. Here it is. Here’s the monster collab I decided to put together with SO MANY Ace Attorney cosplayers that volunteered. My idea was for people to imagine what their favorite characters would look like if they were included in the capcom ace attorney cafe art, and boy did they all deliver! I grabbed two friends and we devised a plan, 24 hours, 4 cosplays, and a whole lot of make-up! Basically, I’ve picked four of my characters to remake the café art, maybe with a few friendly faces from the game/anime too! The costumes would be more practical for a café while still representing the same art style. I think I’d like to make a short Youtube video around what and why I’m doing this and the finished project which i will post to instagram to my 20 followers!

I’d like to show people that OCs are valid and not just from big creators on apps, also maybe a little nudge to my friends! I guess the main idea would be to create a video documenting (my struggles) the choices I have to make along the way.

First step would be to secure a place that would let me take a photo in front of their cafe like 5 times! I already have a photographer, who is a friend of mine! I guess the next choice is to decide whether I want any cannon characters at all? Feels fake at this point but I have been around the OC block and no one cares unless you have cannon characters!

So I guess I’d make weekly updates that teach you about the characters, their designs, why I made certain choices for them, who I based them off, ect! I feel like this project is for fans of the game and people who like to make OCs but are maybe a little shy!

So I actually have 6 but 2 of them wouldn’t make sense. Vanessa is dead whilst Stephanie is off on an island with her serial killer boyfriend! So, let me introduce me to the four I will be doing:

Hows my niche market going?

hello my two readers and probably my teacher. So a couple of weeks ago I was very ready to call it quits! The situation involved me not pressing the record button; finding a dead rat on the floor; and my make-up looking like a drag queens… an untalented drag queen’s. Not to mention that the attorneys badge is attempted to draw looked more like Junkrat’s rip-tire than Phoenix Wright’s attorney badge.

I was so ready to call it quits and go back to what I know… writing smut! Or at least highly detailed fanfic with some bomb OCs. (Their names are Kate Defal and Victoria Waits, I will field questions about them in the comments!) It turns out that I had enough footage, I got out shovel and buried the rat, and I ditched the idea of doing anything other then the make-up and outfits.

I actually found it really easy to do the looks and the edit it once I got used to it. I’m having a ball and cannot wait for more aromatically interesting characters such as April May (I knew my boobs would be useful at some point!)

Another thing I didn’t think I’d like as much was filming the TikToks unfortunately it was during the sound apocalypse and therefore I lost a sound I really wanted to use so I just swapped it out for another that wasn’t as good but still got the point across

ok so here goes. I am not what you’d call pretty. I have a nice face but I have adult acne, I look nicer with long blonde hair so i cut it all off an dyed it crazy colours, my eyebrows are good so I shaved half of them off. I have a relativity OK body but i wear boyish clothes for comfort and warmth.

I’m not interested in crafting smokey little cat eyes, and you’re not going to want to wear this look around the office. These look will involve colour, mistakes, and me. Maybe it wont work and I’ll join the mob and do a podcast and not show my face!

But I’m not here for your comfort and I’m trying not to care what lens you look at me through, I’m me and I’ll smear colours all over my face if I want!

So, I went with the make up idea. I’m really happy my teacher is so supportive even though my idea is kind of weird.  I don’t know what to say that hasn’t been said in my video. It may actually, be hard, I’m almost blind out of one eye and I got weird potato face! But I’m ready to become a Beaut-Tuber (hahaha, how funny). I’m excited to be doing this and I hope I continue after the first video but I’m also busy and have previously dipped my toe into the YouTube world and I’m not impressed. Time to turn my unhealthy coping mechanism into a hobby and let everyone watch. I’ve already put together a list of the characters I want to do and the order, how I want to do them, and what I want the TIkTok advertisement song to be. Let’s go, I guess!

1. Ace Attorney Make-up. Using existing design features and colour pallets of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney characters I want to invent cool make-up looks that o then post onto YouTube.
2. Sounds Abusive but OK. A podcast/YouTube video (game theory style) where I go through relationships, we see in society that are actually rather abusive and why we shouldn’t romanticise them! (eg: JD + Veronica, Joker + Harley Quinn, Christian Grey + Anna Steel)
3. That’s it, that’s all I got!
